IMHO… If anything is in poor taste it’s the game itself. The release date is irrelevant, and assuming that war vets are OK with being released on any OTHER date, they are a bunch of snivelling whiners who just want to force people to think of them only on this day. Let me tell you something… you only have a few years left. If you want the admiration of the young folks… stop whining and start playing! You can’t force future generations to honor you if they can’t stand you.

Guitar Hero Cheaters

I know that there are a lot of macho Guitar Hero (GH) teens out there, and I suspect even more twenty-somethings that take pride in their GH abilities. I’ve met some of you. And I think you should grow up. Yes you heard me… grow up… face defeat like a man… or earn your stripes in a fair and equal manner. I have found that there are a lot of guys out there that need that winner feeling so much that they are willing to lie cheat and steal to get there. Case in point… My 12 yr old has been playing since Christmas, and she  exhibits incredible aptitude for the sport. So she went online to try her hand against other  experienced players.  And there I’ve seen the most yellow-bellied, lily-livered behavior  I’ve ever seen (to quote Yosemite Sam). Things like hanging out on the Expert selection, until my daughter locks in on the same level… only to see the “competitor” drop down to Easy and lock in. Chicken! It’s not a fair game in any way if you choose a different level than your opponent. Another tactic I saw today was to simply drop out of  a round if you’re behind in points… Finish the game! She might not beat you! You could still win! You owe her a full round! Try to find a challenging honorable opponent shouldn’t be the hardest part of this game! You young macho cheating punks. (IMHO )
